Auckland.— Joseph Wilkinson, Wellesley Street, reports that, on the 21st or 22nd ultimo, his shop was broken into, and the following stolen: About 20 yards of tweed, pepper-and-salt pattern, single width; about 12 yards of black Milton cloth, double width; a blue-worsted coat, doublebreasted, trimmed with black braid ; a pair of blue-doeskin trousers, and vest to match ; a pair of blue-striped worsted trousers, a pair of grey-tweed trousers, a pair of dark-tweed trousers, a grey-tweed vest, and two black vests, “ J. Watkinson, Auckland,” on buttons: total value, £lB 7s. 6d. The five last-described garments had been worn.

Auckland. Joseph Charles Wade, master of cutter “Novelty,” reports stolen from the deck of the boat, at the wharf, on the 27th instant, a nearly-new dark-tweed coat and a silk handkerchief, value 175.; a plain gold ring, engraved with square and compass, and AC engraved on inside, value £6.

Helensville. - Matthew Henry Frost, contractor, Waikoukou, reports stolen from the goods-shed on the wharf at Riverhead, during the month of May last, a case, marked AJE over A, containing about 401 b. of hops in lib. and -Jib. packets, value £3 ; and two beef-casks, marked “ M. Frost, Waikoukou,” in black paint, value 12s.

Paeroa. — John Bramley, bootmaker, reports stolen from his shop, between the 14th and 19tli ultimo, a heavy gold ring, set with a gold nugget, stamped “ 18c.” inside, value £5 ; and a piece of quartz, about lin. in diameter, showing gold freely, and having a gold band with small ring attached, value £5. Suspicion attached to Edward H. Chaney, supposed English, about thirty years of age, about sft. Bin. high, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair moustache and perhaps side-whiskers, respectable appearance ; a book-agent, and canvasser for photographic enlargements. He is said to reside at Cambridge.

Christchurch. —Elizabeth Norton, cook, Victoria Street, reports stolen from the No. 2 ladies’ waiting-room, at the railway-station, on the 16th ultimo, a medium-sized carpetbag, containing a black dress, a black jacket with velvet collar and brown-velvet trimming, a pair of women’s shoes No. 6, a comb and brush, some handkerchiefs, and two old calico night-dresses ; value, £3.

Balclutha.— The Railway Department report stolen from the goods-shed, on the 16th ultimo, a keg, branded 15Z, containing 10 gallons of stout; value, £2.
