HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Constable Hugh Chisholm to be an Inspector of Weights and Measures, under “ The Weights and Measures Act, 1868,” for the County of Vincent and the Boroughs of Alexandra and Cromwell. Inspectors of Sea-fisliing appointed. Marine Department, Wellington. 26th November, 1894. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in him by subsection (2) of section 6 of “ The Sea-fisheries Act, 1894,” to appoint Michael James Geerin, of Port Chalmers, Police Sergeant; Patrick O’Neill, of Dunedin, Police Sergeant; and John Hanson, of Dunedin, Police Constable, to be Inspectors of Sea-fishing under the above-mentioned Act. Fixing Sittings of District CoiLrts. GLASGOW, Governor. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru, Otago Goldfields, and Westland, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of January next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:— Ashburton District. In the Courthouse, Ashburton, for civil business only, on 10th January, 14th March, 17th May, 19th July, 13th September, and Bth .November. Timaru and Oamaru District. In the Courthouse, Timaru, for civil business only, on loth January, 19th March, 21st May, 23rd July, and 17th September. For civil and criminal business, on 12th November. In the Courthouse, Hokitika, for civil business only, on 20th February, 26tli April, 28th August, and 23rd October. For civil and criminal business, on 26th June and 13th December. In the Courthouse, Reef ton, for civil business only, on 22nd February, 24th April, 28th June, 30th August, 25th October, and 11th December. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.
