Rewards. Constable M. O’Brien, Helensville police, has been awarded £8 for arresting Albert J. Farr, a deserter from 11.M.5. “ Wallaroo,” at Auckland. (94/1515.) Constable W. Howell, Auckland police, has been awarded £1 for arresting a straggler from H.M.S. “ Royalist.” (94/1516.) Sergeant R. J. Gillies and Constable W. Bern, Thames police, have been awarded £lO and £ls respectively by the Customs Department for services rendered in securing the conviction of Antonio Sobreno and Ah Foy for smuggling opium, &c.
