Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.

Marton.— Thomas Patterson, labourer, Otakipo, reports stolen from Parker’s the 28th ultimo, a light-bay fourlydruik old, 15 hands high, white blaze dpym fMe, one liindyfcfot white, newly shod all round, indistinct; briuid appear imoulder, sore mark on back; had on a saddle, piafej/psasu, remainder bullock hide, small knee-pads, leather/jprth, one stirrup-leather cut, oval-sliaped three-bar nickel irmis ; and a single bridle with snaffle-bit; value £l2. •

Hastings. —J. R. Miller, Tomaona, reports stolen from a paddock, on the 16th ultimo, a black pony-mare, about eight j r cars old, about 14 hands 2in. high, bang tail, short thick mane, branded H on near shoulder, shod all round; value £B.

Te Aroiia. — Michael Geaney reports stolen, on the 20th , ultimo, two draught horses, one a leggy chestnut, twelve years old, about 16 hands high, small star on forehead, pigeon-toed, unshod, value £ls; the other, dark-brown / « (almost black), eight years old, about 16 hands high, blaze down face, hind feet white, in good condition, chainmarked on sides, shod all round, value £25. No visible (j brand on either.

Ngapara. —Thomas Little reports stolen, about the Ist ultimo, a large white sow, heavy in young; value £5. Identifiable.

Taradale (Napier). — Patrick Dooney, hotelkeeper, Mca-J. nee, reports stolen from the yard of the Albion Hotel/** Napier, about 8.30 p.m. on the 4th instant, a black mare, hack-breed, aged, about 14 hands 3in. high, branded S one side of rump and I on the other, lump on near hind f' cannon ; value £2 10s.; had on an old saddle, tree broken, old stirrup leathers with three-bar irons; and an old single-"''' reined bridle with twisted-steel snaffle-bit; value £1 10s.
