Hamilton (Waikato). —William Frederick Bell reports stolen, on the 28th June last, a well-bred chestnut hackmare, by “ Feve,” six years old, about 15 hands high, branded WB (conjoined) on near shoulder, off fore foot white, a few’ white hairs on forehead; value £lO. Suspicion attached to Albert Middleton, seventeen years of age, sft. sin. or 6in. high, medium build, dark complexion and hair, one finger missing. Suspect was seen at Rangiriri on the above date riding (on a cushion) a mare answering description of the one stolen, and is supposed to have gone to Auckland. He is brother to William Middleton.
