(From Gazette, 1891, page 400.) (See also New Zealand Police Gazette, 1891, pages 6S and 79.) Joseph Waterhouse, charged on warrant with falsifying accounts to the amount of £.3,997 17s. 6d. belonging to the Commercial Bank of Australia (Limited), Sydney, has been arrested in London.

Sydney.— A warrant has been issued by the Water Police Bench for the arrest of Harry McDowell Eager, charged with larceny as a bailee of a cheque for the sum of £4OO on A.J.S. Bank, Sussex Street Branch, the property of Robert Watson, on or about the 19th ultimo. Offender is about thirty-one years of age, sft. 4in. high, stout build, blue eyes, very grey hair; a commission - agent, lately carrying on business at corner of Kent and Erskine Streets. Supposed to have gone to N,ew Zealand. Complainant, Robert Watson, 494, Darling Street, Balmain. (91/1850.)
