ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentythird day of November, 1891. Present: The Honourable the Premier presiding in Council. WHEREAS by the seventeenth section of “ The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time alter the limits of any Native licensing districts or abolish the same: And whereas it is expedient to abolish the Native Licensing District of Raglan: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby abolish, from and after the thirtieth day of November instant, the said Native Licensing District of Raglan. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Constable William James Rist to be Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Mercury Bay, from the 6th November last, vice Constable P. J. Fixing Sittings of the District Courts of Westland, Ashburton, Tiniaru and Oamaru, and Otago Goldfields. ONSLOW, Governor. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of

Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Westland, Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru, and Otago Goldfields, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of January next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:— Westland District. In the Courthouse, Greymouth : For civil business only, on the 16th May and 19th September; for civil and criminal business, on the 18th January, 21st March, 16th July, and 14th November. In the Courthouse, Hokitika: For civil business only, on the 29th March, 19th May, and 22nd September ; for civil and criminal business, on the 21st January, 21st July, and 17th November. In the Courthouse, Reefton: For civil business only, on the 24tli May and 27th September ; for civil and criminal business, on the 26th January, 24th March, 26th July, and 22nd November. Ashburton District. In the Courthouse, Ashburton, for civil business only, on the 12tli February, 15th April, 10th June, 12th August, 14th October, and 9th December. Timaru and Oamaru District. In the Courthouse, Timaru: For civil business only, on the 16th February, 19th April, 14th June, 16th August, and 18th October; for civil and criminal business, on the 13th December. In the Courthouse, Oamaru: For civil business only, on the 18th February, 22nd April, 18th August, and 20th October ; for civil and criminal business, on the 16tli June and 16th December. Otago Goldfields District. In the Courthouse, Lawrence, for civil and criminal business, on the 26th April, 23rd August, and 20th December. In the Courthouse, Queenstown, for civil and criminal business, on the 25th February, 23rd June, and 27th October. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sergeant Edward Sterling White to be Inspector of Weights and Measures, under “ The Weights and Measures Act, 1868,” for the County of Buller and for the Borough of Westport, vice Constable J. Robinson; and also to appoint Sergeant Charles Fraser to be Inspector of Weights and Measures, under the said Act, for the County of Westland and for the Borough of Hokitika, vice Constable Barrett.
