Horse- and Cattle-stealing.
Pahiatua. —James Morris is charged on warrant with the larceny as a bailee, on the 26th ultimo, of a mare, saddle* and bridle; value £8; the property of Gooi-gar) Mangatainoko. Description: a labourer, about thirty-five years c/ Rge, nigh, stout square build, square features, clark-brown hair, spile whiskers, and moustache. He was intrusted with the njaro to ride to Pahiatua, but, on arriving there, sold the lot for £3 to Robert Shilling. The latter, together with complainant and offender, had been employed on the relief-works in the Makuri District.
