Supposed stolen between the Ist and 28th ultimo, at Waireka Station, near Coalgate, Canterbury, forty-six fat cross-bred lambs, mixed sexes, branded -<B, conjoined, on rump or back, a piece cut off the top of one ear, and a notch in front of the other; value 11s. each; the property of Alexander Beatty, farmer, Coalgate. Identifiable.

Supposed stolen between the 15th February last and the 12th ultimo, from Miranda, Waikato, sixty-one mixed ewes, wethers, and lambs, about twenty-four of the latter unbranded, ewes and wethers fire-branded V under left eyes, and CV in tar on wool; value £3O; the property of Charles Vincent. Suspicion attached to William Fagan, who resides near complainant, and has sheep in the locality.

Supposed stolen on the 14th January last, from a paddock at Ararimu, Auckland District, a black mare, well bred, about 14 hands 3in. high, switch tail, off hind leg slightly crooked; value £10; the property of Howard J. S. Ellis, schoolmaster. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Joseph Bently, who left about the above date for Raglan, and may have sold her in the Waikato. Description : Eighteen years of ago, fair complexion, fair hair, no beard; usually wears grey coat and vest, moleskin trousers, and brown hat. His mother lives near Papakura.
