Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
From German barque “ Ruthin,” at Timaru, on the evening of the Ist instant. Thomas Anyone, A. 8., an American, twenty-two years of age, sft. Sin. high, medium build, very fair complexion, fair hair, small fair moustache only, well educated ; dressed in dark clothes and hard black-felt hat. Vessel remains in port about four weeks. No warrant.
