Concealment of Birth.

On the 22nd ultimo the body of a female child, sewn up in a piece of calico, was found floating in the harbour, at Oriental Bay, Wellington. At an inquest held on the 23rd ultimo, by Dr. Johnston, Coroner, the medical evidence went to show that it was a still-born child. A verdict of “ Pound dead” was returned.
