Robert Alston Murray, charged on warrant with the larceny of £75 at Launceston, the property of the Van Dieman’s Land Company: The only description of work, excepting clerical work, that the offender is capable of performing is with a lathe ; it is therefore thought that he may be employed in a machinery-shop. It is requested that search and inquiry be made for him at all places where he may likely be so employed.

Stolen between the 22nd June last and the 10th ultimo, from an outhouse at Tamahere, Waikato District, four pairs of new black-leather leggings, value £1 55.; four new brownleather girths, value £1; and part of a set of buggy-harness,

consisting of a bridle with blue forehead-band, a pair of hames, a pair of traces and reins mounted with silver, value £5 ; the property of John Martin, jun. Harness identifiable.

Stolen on the 9th or 10th ultimo, from off a horse at Te Awamutu, a saddle, partly worn, flap over spring-bar turned up and stiff, stranded leather girth, and a snaffle-bridle with red-leather forehead-band, no throat-strap; the property of William Higginson ; value £3. Identifiable.

Half of the carcase of beef stolen from the slaughterhouse of Alexander Grey, Coal Creek, has been found in the river near the slaughterhouse. It is supposed that the other portion of the carcase was also thrown into the river.

Stolen on the 24th ultimo, from the veranda of the residence of Mr. Pulton, Thorndon Quay, Wellington, a gentlemen’s new titania umbrella, "with yellow orange-wood handle with crooked top and plated ferrule ; the property of Arthur Southey Baker ; value £l. Identifiable.

Stolen about the Ist ultimo, at Awanui, Auckland District, fifty black Spanish hens; the property of Bertha Rose; value £3 15s. Identification doubtful.

Stolen on the 28th ultimo, from Holland Street, Wellington, a tapestry hearth-rug about 3ft. long by ljft. wide, darkgreen ground with red and pink roses in centre; the property of George Payne ; value ss. Identifiable.
