Sarah Annie Raymond is charged on warrant with unlawfully abandoning her child, under two years of age, at 82, Drummond Street, Carlton, on the 4th instant. Description: A native of Dublin, thirty-five to forty years of age, sft. 2in. or 3in. high, rather stout build, sallow complexion, peculiarly shaped eyes, black wavy hair; wore a black cashmere dress trimmed with black broch6 in front, and black-velvet hat trimmed with two or three black tips and a red rose ; may also wear a brown ulster trimmed with fur. Supposed to be in Hobart or Napier, New Zealand. She left here, with a man whom she called her stepson, on the 4th May, by the s.s. “ Rotomahana,” bound for Tasmania and New Zealand. Description of the man: Nineteen or twenty years of age, sft. 9in. high, slight build, sallow complexion intermixed with brown blotches, black hair, black moustache only; wore a blue-black serge suit and machine-made hat. They stated that they had an account in the Bank of New South Wales, Napier, New Zealand. The man took the name of Raymond when here. —0. 2895,11 th May, 1886.
