Charles Bereseord, alias Musgrove, charged on warrant with stealing a dog from Stoney Creek, the property of Thomas Carroll, left Dunedin on the 26th ultimo by the barque “Kilbrannan” for Calcutta, under the name of Francis Marshall.

Stolen on the 13th instant, at Pukerua, Wellington District, an open-face silver lever chronograph watch, makers Steward, Dawson, and Co., No. 102592; the property of Alexander Cock; value £5 15s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Peter Hansen. (For his description, &c., see Police Gazette, 1885, page 143.) Mr. Cock offers a reward of £2 for the recovery of the watch.

Stolen on the 15th or 16th instant, from the clothes-line of Elizabeth Kerr, King Street, Dunedin, five bleached twillcalico sheets, size 6ft. by three of them are nearly new and the others much worn ; value £1 ss. Identifiable.

Stolen between the 30th November last and the 22nd ultimo, at Wairio, Southland District, a three-horse set of harrows in four squares joined togther with iron hooks, a metal plate on top with “ Beid and Gray ” engraved thereon, and a wooden swing-bar, about Bft. long, with a hook at each end and at centre; the property of Samuel McLees; value £7.

Stolen on the 6th or 7th instant, from a shed at Te Ngamu, near Opunake, a double-barrel muzzle-loading gun, well finished, makers Beilly and Co., London, No. 16736 ; the property of William McLeod ; value £6. identifiable.

Stolen on the 22nd March last, from the railway-plat-form, Wairio, Southland District, a draught bridle with blinkers, two brass rings on each blinker, buckles painted black, two rings in centre of bit; the property of James Lockett; value 16s. Identifiable.

Stolen on the 4th or sth instant, from the clothes-line of David Bamsay, Esk Street, Invercargill, two white shirts, a pair of Scotch pants, a pair of cotton pants, a boys’ Crimean shirt, five pillowcases, and three bath-towels; value £2. Identifiable.

Stolen on the 22nd or 23rd March last, from the railwaysiding, at Pomahaka, near Tapanui, two bales of corn-sacks, 465. branded on covering; the property of John G. Lang; value £l3 15s.
