(From Gazette, 188 G, pages 591, 600, and 602.) Altering Boundaries of Woodville Licensing District, and defining Danevirh Licensing District.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “ The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Woodville Licensing District, which shall henceforth be thosedescribed in the First Schedule hereto, and do also hereby proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE, Woodville.

Bounded towards the North-east and South-east by the Norsewood and Porangahau Licensing Districts ; towards the South by the County of Wairarapa East; and towards the North-west by the County of Oroua : exclusive of the Town Districts of Woodville and Danevirk.

SECOND SCHEDULE Danevibk.

Compbises all that area known as the Town District of Danevirk, as described in the Neiu Zealand Gazette No. 53, 17th September, 1885. Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General

in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and Over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government Plouse, at Wellington, this sixth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eightysix. Bounded towards the North-east by Walton Street, 435-4 links; towards the South by Redoubt Street, 119-6 links; towards the South-west by Section No. 162, 332-6 links ; and towards the North-west by Roache Street, 114-4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Rangers under “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” Hawera District, appointed.
