Stolen on the 27th ultimo, at Manutahi, an English silver lever hunting-watch, about two years in use, maker’s name and number not known, swivel of chain attached; the property of William John Clement; value £8 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Thomas Blocksome and John Maber, who are working with complainant, with Messrs. Derritt and Blake’s threshing-machine, at Manutahi. Description : Blocksome is English, about twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, small whiskers and moustache ; dressed in black coat, grey-cloth vest, dirty moleskin trousers, black soft felt hat, and red sash round waist. Maber is English, about thirty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, medium build, light complexion, small whiskers and moustache; dressed in light-grey coat and,vest, dirty stripedmoleskin trousers, and straw hat.

Stolen on the 4th or sth instant, from an unoccupied house, at Mornington, near Dunedin, four white-calico window-blinds, 2| yards long by 1J yards wide ; the property of Maria Davis; value ss. Identification doubtful.

Stolen between the 16th ultimo and the 2nd instant, from the Momohaki Railway Station, Taranaki, a double-barrel gun, laminated steel barrels, a six-chambered revolver, “ British Constabulary ”on side of barrel; a small thirty-hour clock, two white blankets and two blue blankets with HJ on comers, a small bag containing ivory dominoes, a telescope about 18 inches long, 31b. of No. 4 shot, a powder-flask, a dark-tweed coat, and a light-tweed vest, all wrapped in lightcoloured canvas; the property of Henry Johnson; value £l2 13s. Identifiable.

Stolen on the Ist instant, from a shed at South Town Belt, Christchurch, a pair of carriage-lamps, a four-pronged

hay-fork, and a hammer; the property of Samuel Jacobs Identifiable.

Stolen about July last, from Mrs. Ross’s stables, at Riversdale, Southland, a dark-coloured saddle with white stitches visible between pommel and seat, a piece of leather sewn on pommel, a leather girth, and a bridle nearly new, “ Duncan Matheson, Harness Maker, Waikaia,” stamped on all; the property of John Attewell; value £3 10s. Identifiable.

Stolen on the 3rd or 4th instant, from a new building, at Cargill Street, Caversham East, two bead-planes, a tenonsaw, a hammer, part of a handle painted red, a 4-inch square with a small hole through iron part, a chisel, and a bevel with “ Orchard ” stamped thereon; the property of Alfred Bird ; value £l. Also a hammer and a chisel; the property of Hugh Jones; value 4s. All identifiable.

Stolen on the 4th instant, from the van of Samuel Weller, at Reefton, 13 yards of red velveteen, a small piece cut out of one of corners; value £1 18s. Identifiable. It was stolen by a boy, name unknown, about thirteen years of age, of whom no further description can be obtained.

Stolen on the Bth or 9th instant, from Brown Hill Farm, near Lawrence, a sheep-slut, about three years old, all black except some grey hairs on muzzle and breast, had pups about six weeks since; and a black-sheep dog, about two years old, tan on legs and over eyes ; the property of Henry Galbraith; value £lO each.
