Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting William Creighton, fifty-three years of age, stout build, fair complexion, bulletwound in one of legs, married, had been in the army. He arrived at Auckland on the 17th January, 1884, by the ship “ Turakina.” He is inquired for at the instance of John Creighton, 34, Southbrook Street, Gould Hants Road, Shepherd’s Bush, London.

Annie McLean, alias Parker, is missing from her home in Dowling Street, Dunedin, since 1 p.m. on the 3rd instant. Description: Fourteen years of age, red cheeks, dark eyes, and dark-brown hair; wore print dress, black-and-white pinafore, and black-straw hat trimmed with brown velvet. It is thought she has been enticed by John Pearce to go to Melbourne with him. Pearce is described as English, a sailor, fifty years of ago, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, dark hair beard whiskers and moustache turning grey, ears pierced.

Description: A native of the colony, a telegraphist, nineteen or twenty years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, slight build, sallow complexion, grey eyes, darkJbrowm hair cut short, no hair on face except small dark moustache, erect gait; supposed dressed in dark paget-coat, grey-tweed trousers, and black hard felt hat. His father lives at Waimate. He was employed as telegraphist at Oamaru, and, it is said, is somewhat eccentric, and has during the past few weeks complained of headache and exhaustion. Ho occasionally went for long walks in the country, and it is feared he may have perished.

William White is missing from his home at Croydon Bush, Southland, since about the 27th January last. Description : English, twelve years of age, small for his age, thin, dark complexion; poorly clothed. He left Gore on the 3rd ultimo, and may have gone to Dunedin. He spoke of going to Sydney, where he has a brother. Ho is inquired for at the instance of his parents.

Information is requested respecting George Birch, a native of Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland, about fortytwo years of age, who left Ireland for Auckland. He is married and has six children. He is inquired for at the instance of his brother, James Birch, late of the Ist Batallion 12th Regiment of Foot, and now a schoolmaster at Breadalbane, near Goulburn, New South Wales.

Information is requested respecting Thomas Johnston, a native of Christchurch, a station-hand, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, largo nose. He is said to be employed on a farm about three miles from Wellington, driving a milk-cart to the city daily. He is inquired for at the instance of his father, who resides at Addington.

Information is requested respecting Michael Sullivan, a native of Ireland, a painter and labourer, between forty-six and forty-eight years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair turning grey, cleanshaved except fair moustache. He left Oamaru on the 11th ultimo, and went north. He is of drunken habits, and will likely be found at a country hotel. He is inquired for with a view of proceedings being taken against him for the support of his three children, who are inmates of tho Caversham Industrial School.
