(See Police Gazette, 1885, page 9.) Eli Jones, alias Robert Winters, charged with having uttered a forged cheque to Richard Trueman, at Wailcari, has been arrested by Constable Thomas Wliitty, Waiau Police.
Robert Everett Franklin is charged, on warrant issued by the Supreme Court, Auckland, with absconding from his bail to appear at the Supreme Court, Auckland, at 10.30 a.m. on the 12th ultimo, to answer a charge of perjury committed at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Whangarei. Description : English, a brewer, about twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, oval face, fresh complexion, pleasant expression, brown hair, thin brown moustache, small thin side whiskers, brown eyes, slightly stooped when walking ; when last seen wore brown-tweed paget-coat and vest with light spots through material, light - tweed trousers, and black hard felt hat. He is supposed to have left Auckland on the 6th ultimo by mail steamer for San Francisco.
Harry Austin Revell is charged, on warrant issued by the Auckland Bench, with having, on the 31st December last, at Auckland, uttered a forged promissory note for £ls to Samuel Cohen. Description : Supposed a native of Taranaki, a blacksmith, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, rather stout build, dark complexion, dark hair, cleansliaved except small dark moustache. He was seen at Onehunga on the 10th ultimo, supposed on his way to Taranaki. The promissory note purports to be signed by F. W. Revell, the offender’s uncle.

Francis Tuke, charged on warrant with having uttered a forged cheque to Thomas Harrison, has been arrested by Sergeant Andrew Clarke, Auckland Police, and remanded to Dunedin.
During the night of the 30th December last a number of flowers and plants were maliciously pulled out of the ground in the garden of Charles Winkleman, at Poto, Kaipara Heads, and damaged to the extent of £5.
On the 11th ultimo, at Invercargill Jetty, the brake of a railway - truck laden with timber was maliciously raised, which caused the truck to run into a shed, the property of the Invercargill Corporation, damaging it to the extent of £4.
Between the 13th December last and the 13th ultimo, at Tauranga, six holes were maliciously cut with a knife in three lengths of the fire brigade canvas hose, the property of the Tauranga Borough Council, damaging it to the extent of £1 10s.

Richard O’Donnell, alias Evans, alias Richard James Torpey, charged on warrant with having uttered a forged cheque to Thomas Healy, has been arrested by Detective William L. Chrystal, Wellington Police, and remanded to Auckland.
On the morning of the 23rd ultimo a stone was maliciously thrown through one of the plate-glass windows of the Bank of New Zealand, New Plymouth, damaging it to the extent of £3.
