Escaped Prisoner. —Escaped from the cells at Adelaide Police Court, at 10.30 a.m. on the 26th instant (August, 1884), William Summers Waterford, alias Munroe, charged with storebreaking, &c. Description: Ago, about forty years; height, 6 feet; spare build, long face, long brown side whiskers and moustache, about a week’s growth of beard on chin; wearing light trousers, drab soft felt hat with very wide brim, and white comforter round neck. The capture of this man is of the utmost importance ; he is an expert criminal and expiree from Western Australia. (See Police Gazette, 1877, page 22, William Sommers. C. 1618.) Re Waterford, escaped prisoner: The photograph published herewith to be noted with some reservation, as a likeness of the escapee, it being a copy from one presumably taken some time back. Offender, who is reported to be now shaved, follows the occupation of carpenter, bricklayer, or mason. He has a very prominent nose and piercing eyes. £lO reward for capture.—(C. 1618.)
