Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

David Franks, Peter Anderson, and John Colman are charged with deserting from the steamship “ Ivaikoura,” at Port Chalmers, on the night of the 11th instant. Description : Franks is Irish, thirty-four years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, medium build, dark, fresh complexion, black hair and moustache, otherwise clean-shaved, dark eyes; Anderson is a Dane, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, florid complexion, dark hair, moustache, and side whiskers, dark eyes ; Colman is Irish, a cook, thirtytwo years of age, 6 feet 2 inches high, slight build, sallow complexion, dark hair, full dark beard, dark eyes.

Donald McDonald, John Tilly, and John McKenzie are charged with deserting from the ship “ Waitangi,” at Port Chalmers, on the night of the 14th instant. Description: McDonald is Scotch, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, medium build, fair complexion, very light-brown hair and moustache, cheeks shaved, grey eyes; Tilly is English, twenty-six years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair and moustache, cheeks shaved, dark-blue eyes; McKenzie is Scotch, about twenty-eight years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, small brown moustache, cheeks shaved, knock-kneed. Identifiable.
