The sum of £1 has been awarded to Constable William Daly, Christchurch Police, by Mr. P. Duncan, for the recovery of a retriever dog lost by him. The sum of £5 has been awarded by the Auckland City Council to Constable John Ryan, Newmarket Police, in recognition of his services in connection with the prosecution of Edward Dewar Richards, fined £2 and costs for a breach of “ The Slaughterhouses Act, 1877.”
