Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of William Kentish McLean, a native of Jamaica, West Indies, a commission agent, fifty years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, medium build, swarthy complexion, looks like a half-caste, short black curly hair turning grey, very little hair on face ; wore blue-serge coat, drab billycock hat, a small open-faced gold watch, a gold guard with a large number of small coins and trinkets attached, and two silver rings on fingers. He is supposed to have left Wellington by rail on the 24th ultimo with the intention of going to Napier overland. His wife and family reside at Gisborne. Inquiry is made for him at the request of George M. Baggett, Crown Lands Office, Wellington.
