A warrant was issued on the 22nd March, 1882, by U. T. A. Murray, Esq., Police Magistrate, Launceston, for the undermentioned offender: William Tyson, jun., on the charge of having, on or about the Bth March, at Launceston, stolen £SOO of the moneys of Adye Douglas and others, shareholders in the Bank of Tasmania, of which bank the said Tyson was then the teller. Description : Age forty, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, stoops

slightly, brown hair and worn rather long, dark-brown whiskers dyed black, long beard, fair complexion, good forehead, good white teeth, small features, has a slight hesitation in speech, and habit of rubbing his hands over one another. When last seen had with him a swag, was dressed in black alpaca coat, white vest, black trousers, and soft black-felt hat; carried a case of surgical instruments ; had a travelling-bag. Tyson had been a very fervid Rcchabite and Good Templar; has a slight knowledge of electricity, and likes to talk about it.
