William Marshall is charged, on warrant issued by the Dunedin Bench, with deserting his seven children at Warrington, near Blueskin, since the 3rd instant. Description : Scotch, a dairyman, thirty-eight years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-red hair, very red beard whiskers and moustache; when last seen wore dark corded-tweed coat, much too small for him, light-grey trousers and vest, and dark-tweed hat. He had nearly £9OO in his possession, and will likely endeavour to leave the colony. He was lately discharged from Dunedin Gaol after undergoing a sentence of seven years’ penal servitude for rape. Arthur Kitchen and William Whiltingham escaped from the Naval Training School at Kohimarama on the Ist instant. Description : Kitchen is eleven years of age, 4 feet 4 inches high, light hair, blue eyes, fair complexion. Whittingham is twelve and a half years of age, about 5 feet 2 inches high, dark hair, dark-hazel eyes, and dark complexion. Both dressed in blue uniform.

Description : A native of the colony, a blacksmith, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, small thin pale features, large nose, dark complexion and hair, no hair on face, holds his head down when walking. He was seen in Milton about three weeks ago.

John Russell is charged, on warrant issuod by the Wanganui Bench, with disobeying a summons to appear at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Wanganui, on the 4th instant to give evidence in the case of William Henry Maxwell, charged with larceny. Description : Scotch, a sawyer, thirty-seven years of age, 6 feet 10 inches high, brown hair, dark-red beard and moustache, blind of left eye ; dressed in dark faded-tweed coat and vest, brown-striped moleskin trousers, and old black billycock hat.
