Extract from New Zealand Gazette.
(From Gazette, 1881, page 1158.) Fixing Sittings at Patea of the District Court of Wanganui.
Arthur Gordon, Governor. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of Wanganui, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed : In the Courthouse at Patea, on the Monday before the second Thursday in the months of January, April, July, and October in each year. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall ha pen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one. Thomas Dick.
Erratum. —In Police Gazette, of the 24th August, 1881» page 145, under this heading, for “ Constable Edward Villars,” read “ Constable Edmond Villars.”
