Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

• Graham Nunn and George Frederick James, apprentice seamen, are charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Beatrice,” at Wellington, about the 25th ultimo. Description : Nunn is English, sixteen years of age, 4 feet high, slight build, fresh complexion, darkbrown hair. James is English, sixteen years of age, 5 feet high, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair. A reward of £llos. each is offered for their arrest.

John Carlson, charged on warrant with deserting from the barque “Adamant,” has been arrested by Constable Thomas Harvey, Napier Police, and sentenced to two months’ labour.

- As the barque “Edwin Fox ” has left Nelson, it is not desirable that the deserters John Ross, James Dixon, and George Prints should now be arrested.

Henry Morgan Stewart is charged with deserting from the ship “ Benares,” at Port Chalmers, on the 16th ultimo. Description : Scotch, thirty-four years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, stout build, sallow complexion, brown curly hair, short brown beard and whiskers, and light-brown moustache, female figure tattooed on right arm.

William Paris and Ezekiel Speary are charged, on warrants issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Hudson,” at Wellington, on the Ist instant. Description: Paris is English, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 6£ inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, no hair on face except very light moustache. Speary is English, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout build, sallow' complexion, dark eyes, fair hair, no hair on face. A reward of £2 each is offered for their arrest.

-Mals Lecta, Andrew' Sandstrom, George Nicholas, and John McPherson are charged, on warrants issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Hudson,” at Wellington, on the 30th ultimo. Description: Lecta is a Russian, forty-eight years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, brown hair, beard, and moustache, light-blue eyes, right eye weak, stooped. Sandstrom is a Russian, twentyfour years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, sallow complexion, brown hair and eyes, no hair on face except brown moustache, square shoulders, erect gait. Nicholas is an Italian, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, stout build, dark complexion and eyes, dark hair, and small moustache and goatee. McPherson is Scotch, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, slight build, dark complexion and eyes, dark hair, beard, and moustache. A reward of £2 each is offered for their arrest.

Ludwig Schroder, John Kobron, William Kaiser, and William Thompson are charged, on warrants issued by the "Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque Hudson,” at Wellington, on the 29th ultimo. Description : Schroder is a German, twenty-eight years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, medium build, smart appearance, fresh complexion, smooth face, and light-brown hair. Kobron is a German, twenty-eight years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, slight build, very light hair, no hair on face except small white moustache, active appearance. Kaiser is a German, twenty-eight years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight build, active appearance, light-brown hair, no hair on face except small moustache. Thompson is Dutch, fifty years of age, 5 ieet 10 inches high, slight build, grey hair, amt white goatee. A reward of £2 each is offered for their arrest.
