Escaped Prisoner.
Between 9 and 10 p.m. on the 25th ultimo, Purvearo, a prisoner remanded on a charge of larceny, made his escape from the gaol at New Plymouth. Description : A Maori, thirty-four years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark eyes, long black hair, small dark beard and moustache. He is supposed to have gone to the King country.
