Deserting Wives and Families, &c.

William Henry Cooper Moore is charged, on warrant issued by the Dunedin Bench, with having deserted his wife at Dunedin on the 31st ultimo. Description : —A native of London, a labourer and seaman, twenty-seven years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, slight build, light-brown hair, dark complexion, thin brown whiskers and moustache, blue eyes, scar over one eye ; wore dark tweed suit, black felt hat, and elastic-side boots. He is accompanied by a woman known as “ Alice,” about thirty years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, dark complexion and black hair, who had with her a girl about six years of age. It is believed he will endeavour to leave the colony with this woman.
