Living “flowers” on a Hastings blossom festival float are featured on our cover this month. A procession of flowerdecided vehicles is the show piece of the annual Hawse's Bap blossom festival held in the heart of the principal stone and pip fruit growing area of the North Island. The festival is timed to coincide with, the main blossoming period of the district's 3,000 acres of fruit trees.
