Shed routine in the machine milking of a town supply herd is explained to the Duke by Mr. C. J. McFadden, Belfast, and his son Graham. The 5-cow plant and two men milk an average round-the-year herd of over 80 cows in 11 hours. The herd is milked morning and evening at 12-hour intervals. All cows are T.B. tested and inoculated against contagious abortion.
