As the inland high tussock country is improved by modern methods such as aerial topdressing and oversowing and carrying capacities are consequently improved the necessity arises of having to provide adequate winter feed. On "Ribbonwood" this has been done largely by setting aside areas for hay, and upward of 3000 bales have been made in a year.
