FLY STRIKE IN SHEEP Control with Latest Insecticides Large scale research has shown that D.D.T. and “Gatnmexane” are the two best insecticides for controlling the blow-fly pest. Cooper’s have combined them in two new products, one for the prevention and the other for control of fly. PREVENTION COOPER’S POWDER FLY SPRAY AND DIP A new and highly effective preparation giving at least 5-6 weeks’ protection from strike with one spraying at a cost of about 3d. per head. Five 21b. packets make 100 galls, spray which is sufficient to do upwards of 400 sheep. (Supplies have been late in arriving but were expected to be available as from March.) TREATMENT COOPER'S MAGGOT DRESSING An entirely new type of remedy for treating struck sheep. It expels maggots from the wound entirely -none are left to putrify and attract further flies. Moreover Cooper’s Maggot Dressing protects the wound against re-strike and assists healing. Packed in 1 gallon drums and 16oz. tins. A 16oz. tin makes 2 galls, dressing.
