[Photo News Ltd. photo. GENERAL APPEARANCE: Open, rather narrow crown; foliage dark bluish green and sparse. MATURE HEIGHT: 70 to 80ft. BARK: Greyish to dark brown with wide vertical cracks. NEEDLES: In pairs; 4to 6in. long; slender and soft, curved or even twisted. MATURE CONES: Rather tawny yellow, becoming brown; smooth scales; 2 to 3in. long, I to in diameter.
