This month's cover
Agricultural and pastoral shows have been a centre of interest for country people and scarcely less for those in towns and cities, and today more than 100 show associations hold annual fixtures. This month's cover, which is reproduced from a transparency (naturalcolour / photograph) by National Publicity Studios, shows a typical scene at a grand parade, the most spectacular event on the show programme. Show activities were seriously curtailed during the war, but there has been a marked revival in recent years and the popularity of the various district functions has been reflected in the excellent support from exhibitors and spectators.
