Pool Price for Cheese Crates

REGULATIONS have been in force since 1937 appointing the New Zealand Dairy Board to be the sole and exclusive agent of dairy companies for the purchase and supply of butter boxes in which butter may be packed for export. The average price at which butter boxes are obtainable by the board from box-makers during each season, after making due provision for the cost to the board of acting as the agent of dairy companies and carrying out the powers conferred by the regulations, is spread over all dairy companies by means of a pool price. Formerly, a similar pool price for cheese crates had not been established, but in the new regulations which replace the former regulations, provision is made for a separate pool price for cheese crates required by the industry upon the same lines as that in force in respect of butter boxes.
