The scheme was fully explained and a general discussion held, this being of particular value to the members of the committee, enabling them to ascertain tire points of view of those who proposed to participate. Farquhar, T. Lamont, J. Farquhar’ (affirmative), and R. Booker, G. Algie, B. Stewart (negative) ; second debate,; I. Lancaster,- G. Griffin. C. Wills (affirmative), and C. Bridgeman, F. Magill, E. Butt (negative). Mr. E. H. Beamish acted as adjudicator, and, after a very thorough and informative criticism, gave his decision in favour of the affirmative in the first , debate; and the negative in the second. debate. Otorohanga.— Two new members enrolled. Committee appointed to make arrangements for Y.F.C. Court at Waikato Winter Show, Hamilton. Debate with team from Kakepuku Club, subject, “That the Modern World is Degenerating.” The visiting team, as follows, supported the affirmative, W. Neill, G. Langdale, D. McLeay, B. McVerry. The local team, S. Tye, H. Murphy, J. McDowell, C. Murphy-, took the negative. Mr. S. W. Webber acted as adjudicator, and gave his decision in favour of the affirmative by 343 points to 328. A field day was held on Mrs. A. Marshall's farm, taking the form' of a postmortem on a cow suffering from tuberculosis, Mr. Bonner, Stock Inspector, conducting the operation. The annual King Country Y.F.C. Stock Judging Competition was held on the properties of Messrs. Tipping Bros., F. Richmond, and Mrs. Murphy; the F.A.C. Cup and miniature, presented by Mr. S. D.
