Slaughterings of Pigs
The 120,864 pigs killed during May were distributed In weight ranges as follows: —
The grading of pork is 90 per cent, primes and; 10 per cent, second quality, and of bacon 78 per cent., 17 per cent, and 5 per cent, of prime I’s, prime 2’s and second quality respectively. In the different weight ranges of baconers the grading is as follows:
