FERTILIZER IMPORTATIONS: SEPTEMBER QUARTER.
Following are particulars of importations of fertilizers into New Zealand for the quarter ended 30th September, 1931 :
Sulphate of ammonia : United Kingdom, 2,020 tons. .Basic slag : United Kingdom, 523 tons; Belgium, 650 tons; Netherlands, 300 tons. Bonedust: India, 100 tons. Guano : United Kingdom, 15 tons ; Seychelles Islands, 3,642 tons; Madagascar, 2,428 tons. Roch phosphates : Ocean Island, .5,206 tons; Nauru Island, 27,988 tons. Phosphates - (other) : United Kingdom, 140 tons ; Belgium,. 850 tons. Kainit : France, 25 tons ; Germany, 25 tons ; Poland, 45 tons. Sulphate of potash: France, 95 tons; Germany, 102 tons. Other potash manures : Belgium, 25 tons ; France, 693 tons ; Germany, 311 tons; Poland, 291 tons. Sulphate of iron : Australia, 3 tons. Other fertilizers.: United Kingdom, 26 cwt. ; Germany, 28 cwt. .
