SEED-GERMINATION AVERAGES, 1920-21.

The average germinations of- the main agricultural seeds, tested by the seed branch of the Department's Biological Laboratory during the twelve months July, 192.0, to June, 1921, are given .below. The figures are compiled from the analyses of 10,000 commercial samples. With the exception of those , marked with an asterisk, the percentages may be taken as representative of good average commercial lines. In the case of those so marked the standard percentage is bracketed.
