A SMALL SHEEP DRAFTING, DIPPING, AND SHEARING PLANT.

The plant, plans of which are given on the opposite page, has been designed to meet the requirements of owners of small flocks of sheep.

Details of the plant will be found in the reference table accompanying the plans, which are simple enough to be followed by the farmer. The shed may be constructed of any convenient material.

The dipping which will accommodate three or four sheep at a time, and holds about 350 gallons of wash, is only 11 ft. in length. Consequently it is necessary to hold , each lot of sheep in the bath for the time necessary to secure thorough’immersion. < This may be done either by use of the crutch or by providing a check-gate in the bath about 4 ft. from the exit.
