1. KING EMPEROR’S GREETING TO AMBASSADOR PRINCE. More affecting, if possible, than the mighty welcome of London’s multitude, was the proud greeting of the Prince of Wales by the Royal Family. Queen Alexandra, indeed, arrived at Victoria Station over a quarter of an hour before the Prince was due, and the King and Queen made their appearance as the approach of the Royal train was signalled. The family re-union took place in the Royal saloon, and the Prince then stepped on to the platform to be received by Queen Alexandra in a warm embrace.
