A Purse of lOOsovs will be given to any horse breaking the - Australasian grass mile record of 2.8. In the event of more than one horse competing for the above record, the horse establishing the best time under that, stipulated to receive the prize. Flying start, pacemaker allowed. Entries close on day appointed for receiving nominations. NOMINATIONS for all events, accompanied by .fees, close with the Secretary on MONDAY, DECEMBER 22, at HANDICAPS declared on FRIDAY, JANUARY 7. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Attention to be drawn to the following:— ' All stakes to be paid in full. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Trotting. All winners of any race after the < handicaps are declared may be re-han-dicapped. , , No entry,, will be received for any race except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising from the carrying out of this, programme shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards or whoever they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final, but, however, is subject to appeal to the Association, except on question of fact. In all nominations, the name, age, . pedigree, colour, sex, and previous performance of the horse, the name, ot owner and trainer, and colours of rider or driver must be given. Every owner of trotting horses and ponies in New Zealand must register with the Association all horses in their possession, giving brand, age, pedigree, and general description of each horse, prior to nominating in any race. Any unregistered horse or pony nominated for any trotting meeting held under these rules shall be disqualified. Every person applying for admission to any course, and every person entering or endeavouring to enter a horse for any race,'and every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse, shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions im-
