Trotting enthusiasts will regret to learn that a cable entering three Australian horses of note for the Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting, in Happy Voyage (a crack), Medway, and Haricot, was received in Auckland in good time, but delivery was late.
There are ample indications that the Waipa Racing Club’s annual meeting, to take place on the 18th Inst., at Te Awamutu, will be a successful one. The Auckland and country district owners, chiefly in the .Waikato, will be found extending their patronage, and there are sure to be a number of locally-trained horses taking a hand, with a good prospect of holding their own in some of the. races. A few visitors are already there with horses from distant parts, taking advantage of the opportunity of giving their horses «ome work on the grass track before the meeting.
