Our Ellerslie representative informs us that the racehorses Kerehone, Dead Sweet, Deviation, Oakleigh, Princess Charming, Peneton, Comedy Prince, Meltchikoff. Glucian and Nunerrant are amongst those expected to represent Ellerslie stables at the Hawke’s Bay meeting. A sale of thoroughbreds and trotting stock is to be conducted at Methven .on Friday, June 25, by the N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury. Ltd., when Mr. T. Twomey’s horses will be offered for absolute sale. Particulars of the thoroughbreds and trotting stock which will come under the hammer are given in another column. The clearing sale will start at 11 o’clock and the sale of horses at 1 o’clock. Mr. Twomey is known as a successful owner and breeder, and the sale is certain to attract a large number of racing and trotting enthusiasts.
