After five years of retirement, Mr. Tom Leader, the well-known English trainer, recently died at his home, Wroughton House, Newmarket, aged 72. He had a successful career as a trainer, and was responsible for George Frederick, the 1874 Derby winner. He was the father of the brothers Leader, who are now training.
