THE “PEACE REGATTA” AT HENLEY.—A LARGE HOLIDAY CROWD EAGERLY WATCHING THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY EIGHT BEATING CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY IN A HEAT FOR THE KING’S CUP IN A GOOD RACE. The Australians proved as invincible on the Thames as on the Somme, for in the final for the King’s Gold Cup they defeated the Oxford University service crew by a length. The Australian crew was undoubtedly the strongest and best on the river, being splendidly trained, and containing just the proper mixture of youth and experience.
