The crack jockey, S. Donoghue, has practically lived this week in railway trains and boats, as he has ridden at Brighton, Newbury, Newcastle and in Ireland (writes “Sporting Life” on June 28). It is said to be Donoghue’s ambition to ride a winner in this c ountry and in France on the same day, which he thinks possible in these times of aeroplane travelling.
