POVERTY BAY TROTTING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. (Telegraph—Gisborne Correspondent.) The nominations received on Friday evening last for the Poverty Bay Trotting Club’s annual meeting, which is to take place on Saturday, June 28, are of a decidedly encouraging nature to the officials, who have worked hard with a view to reviving trotting in the Poverty Bay district after operations had been suspended for several years in consequence of the war. Handicaps for the various events will be declared by Mr. F. W. Edwards on Friday next, while acceptances are due on Monday, June 23, with the secretary, Mr. H. E. Dodd, at 8 p.m. The nominations are as follows:— MAIDEN HANDICAP (Optional), one mile and a-half.—Blue Light, Raupere, Petei - Scott, Flora Dillon, Gold Bowl, Mintson Bell, Bay Lock, Ena Bell, Zolock Bell, Aquilla, Forester. PARK HANDICAP (Saddle), one mile and a-half. —Chocolate Soldier, Nikora, Grey Lock, Welcome South, Sam Dillon, Wild Lad, Dickebusche, Aquilla. POVERTY BAY TROTTING CUP (Harness), two miles. — Prize Pearl, Speculator, Lady Burlington, Evening Chimes, Brandon Dillon, Inora, Silverlocks, Petruchio, Ena Bell. PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP (Harness), one mile and a-quarter. — Blue Light, Ruapere, Peter Scott, Flora Dillon, Brandon Dillon, Jack Ashore, Gold Bowl, St. Andrew, Mintson Bell, Ena Bell. SIR DOUGLAS HAIG HANDICAP (Harness), two miles.—Speculator, Nikora, Chocolate Soldier, Grey Lock, Welcome South, Gold Rod, Sam Dillon, Wild Lad, Zolock Bell. COUNTY HANDICAP (Saddle), one mile and a-half.—St. Andrew, Dextei - Lock, Bay Lock, Sweet Pet, Tasmania, Forester.
