Nominations for all events to be decided at the Waikato Hunt Racing Club’s annual meeting, at Hamilton on July 5, close with the secretary, Mr. W. G. Care, Box 11, Cambridge, on Friday, June 13, at 9 p.m.

It has often been mentioned in Australian papers that arrangements in connection with racing in England are not such as those to which we are accustomed. In referring to the Warwick meeting in March, the London “Sportsman” says: “The old, inadequate single turnstile was in use at the entrance to the enclosure, causing unnecessary congestion.” The literal reading of the above sentence is that there was only one turnstile in use for admission to the paddock, and one can imagine what would be said in a similar case at almost any meeting in Australia.
