ACCEPTANCES for all events close on FRIDAY, APRIL 11, at 3 p.m. Fees must accompany both nomination and acceptance. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run under the Rules of New Zealand Trotting Association. The winner of any race after the ’declaration of handicaps may be rehandicapped. No entry will be received for any race except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising from the carrying out of this programme shall be decided by the stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final, subject to appeal to the Association, except on questions of fact. With all nominations the name, colour, sex, age and pedigree, and the last three performances, and the horse’s best time, and the names ancf addresses of the owner and trainer must be given. Every owner must have colours registered with the Association prior to nomination. The colours of rider or driver must be sent in at the time of nomination, failing which a fine of £1 will be enforced. Telegraphed nominations must be confirmed in writing with all particulars by the following mail. No horse will be allowed to start unless all fees are paid. Riders and drivers must appear in proper costume or they will be fined. This rule will be strictly enforced. All protests must be made in writing, and in the hands of the Secretary within 10 minutes of the decision of the race, and accompanied by ; a deposit of £5, to be forfeited if the protest be dismissed. Every person applying for admission to any course, and every person entering or endeavouring to enter a horse for any race, and every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse, shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by these Rules, and to be barred from questioning the action of the Conference, Appeal Judges, Association, Club, Racing Club or body. Committee, Stewards, Officials, Agents or Servants in respect of any such person or horse, or any person connected therewith otherwise than is provided for in Part XXX. of these Rules. NOTE. —Every horse must be registered with the Association prior to nomination in any race. Any unregistered horse shall be disqualified. The fee for registration is 10s. Before any horse can be nominated the Provident Fund fee of £1 must be paid to the Association otherwise a fine of £5 will be imposed.
